Sustainability plans and 2030 agenda
Sustainability is one of the most important vectors of any organization, whether it is a company or a public institution. But this concept is not only understood from an ambitious perspective, but also from an economic and social perspective. Having a sustainability plan or strategy is an increasingly important need for organisations, as legislation but also the market is increasingly aware of it.
At BMS Strategic Consulting we carry out Sustainability Plans analysing the needs of the organization and reference them to global trends, marked by the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
Carbon footprints and energy efficiency
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges we have to face now and in the coming years. The increase in the temperature of the earth accelerates as a result of human activity and greenhouse gases (GHG) are one of the main causes. Knowing the carbon footprint of our organization, establishing a reduction plan and, where appropriate, compensation to reach carbonic neutrality is an increasingly common exercise.
Likewise, it is also essential that companies and institutions have energy audits of their buildings and services in order to save on the energy bill, but also to emit less CO2 in the atmosphere.
At BMS we calculate carbon footprints, we draw up reduction and compensation plans, we carry out energy audits and other projects related to the objective of mitigating Climate Change.
Sustainable Events
Every time is more common for sporting, cultural or festive events to count their carbon footprint, try to reduce it and compensate for it. In addition, some of these events already have their own Sustainability Plan, which takes into account waste management, the impact on the natural environment, among other factors.
At BMS Strategic Consulting we work with sports federations and organizers of strategic planning activities and also specific actions for the realization of sustainable events.
Sustainable mobility (mobility plans)
Mobility is one of the main pollution factors and at the same time a management problem for those responsible for urban centres. We need more and better sustainable mobility policies that seek the transversality of actors, collective mobility formulas and decarbonisation.
In the case of Andorra, the Government has established regulations, in accordance with the Litecc and the specific commitments to the Paris agreement, that all public and private organizations of more than 100 workers had to have a Sustainable Mobility Plan for personnel (PMSP) before December 2022.
At BMS, we support institutions and companies in the development and implementation of these PMSPs by carrying out the diagnosis, definition of objectives and action plan. We also carry out monitoring plans.
Circular economy
The circular economy seeks to keep the value of products, materials and resources in the economy for as long as possible, and thus reduce waste generation to a minimum. In short, it is about implementing a non-linear economy, based on the principle of “close the life cycle” of products, services, waste, materials, water and energy. Among other reasons because the current linear system (extraction, manufacture, use and disposal) has reached its limits and the depletion of a series of natural resources and fossil fuels is beginning to be seen.

The basis for a more sustainable and socially responsible world is education. Social impact actions
CSR – corporate social responsibility- is a growing differentiating factor in companies and institutions. It is something necessary and inherent for those who want to direct their organization in the management of the impacts that their activity generates on their customers, workers, shareholders, local communities, the environment and on society in general.
At BMS Strategic Consulting we work hand in hand with organizations to promote CSR actions and promote this holistic action linked to responsible management.
We are also the promoters in Andorra of the Solidarity Rounding project to help the financing of NGOs in the Principality through the partnership with trade partners in the country.
